Felix Ivo Rossbach
Felix is a Marine Biologist, Scientific Diver and PhD candidate in Marine Ecology at University Bremen (Germany). For his thesis he investigates the biodiversity associated with Phyllophora crispa red algae mats in habitats around the Island Giglio in the Tyrrhenian / Western Mediterranean Sea.
Susann Rossbach, PhD
Susann is a Biological Oceanographer and Scientific Diver. She holds a PhD degree in Marine Science from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia. Currently, Susann works for the Red Sea Development Company in Saudi Arabia as their Environmental Chemical Science Manager, monitoring the water quality and other environmental parameters at one of the Giga Projects of Vision 2030.
How it all began
Felix and Susann have been active in Science Communication since 2015. Starting with their Instagram accounts @bio.diver.s and @scientificdiver, they started to share underwater photos, impressions of their work as marine biologists and scientific divers, and scientific facts about marine life.

In April 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown, they started their joint SciComm project
bringing short introductory video lectures, on a variety of marine science - related topics, to your home.
